Two clients, two roofs and one building: programmatic, economic and urban constraints resulted in a project that had to combine
the homes of two families into a single architectural gesture. Historically, the semi-detached house typology aimed to appear
as a single, large building. Here, however, the symmetry creates an orderly basis that allows to accommodate the individual
family wishes to each side without the design losing integrity. The desire was that, because of the ambiguity of the building,
each family feels like they are inhabiting the whole house with two roofs, and not just one side.
