Farm Kitchen

The Farm Kitchen is designed to cook with fresh ingredients sourced directly from the surrounding lands, thus shortening the supply chain between producer and consumer. Other material streams such as food waste are incorporated to be part of the energy concept. The architecture reflects the function of the building to the smallest detail.

Large panoramic windows allow the chefs to oversee the surrounding fields while cooking and establish a permanent connection between the work and the seasons. Like the ingredients, the building’s materials are selected from natural sources. Wood, being the primary building material, allows for dry joints that make the future life of the Farm Kitchen more open-minded and flexible. It acts both as a structural and finishing material. At the same time the wood creates an natural atmosphere in- and outside.

Upon completion, the Farm Kitchen will play a pivotal role in the development of its parent company as a hub for production, promotion and education.
